In the dynamic world of hospitality, employers are looking for more than just good grades. They are looking for confidence, professional habits, and hands-on experience.


At Kibondeni College, we believe that the best way to learn hospitality is to live it. This is why we champion the Dual Training System—a unique educational approach that blends rigorous classroom theory with real-world industry immersion.


How the Dual Training System Works

Dual Training is a dynamic learning method where students apply the skills they learn in class directly within the industry.

Every year—starting from your very first year—you participate in Dual Training.


How the Schedule Works

During your 3-month Dual Training module, your week is structured for maximum efficiency:

  • 3 Days at College: You spend three days a week at Kibondeni, covering theory and core practicals in our training units.



  • 2 Days at a Hotel: For the remaining two days, you are fully placed at one of our partner hotels. You work a real shift, interacting with guests and learning from top professionals.


Real Exposure at Top-Tier Hotels

Depending on the partner hotel, you will either:

  • Rotate through different departments (Food Production, Service, Kitchen, Housekeeping) to get a full overview of hotel operations.

  • Specialize in one department to master a specific skill set.

This consistent exposure means that by the time you graduate, you haven't just "studied" hospitality—you have lived it, built a network, and proven you can handle the standards of a 5-star environment.

A Program for Every Ambition

We believe that talent exists at every grade level. Our Dual Training advantage is available across all our core NITA programs:

  • NITA National Skills Certificate (NSC) Level IV: A comprehensive 4-term program for those with KCSE D Plain to A, covering all aspects of management and operations.

  • NITA National Skills Certificate (NSC) Level III: A focused 3-term program for KCSE D- (Minus) or KCPE candidates, specializing in Housekeeping, Laundry, and Service.

  • NITA Grade Test: A practical 3-term course for KCPE or KCSE graduates who thrive on hands-on work.


Note: For those seeking a quick skill upgrade or self-employment, we also offer the 3-month Housekeeping Cookery Course (H.C.C), with convenient afternoon classes.
