Our Story
Kibondeni College of Catering and Hospitality is a NITA-accredited vocational training college in Nairobi, Kenya, offering affordable hospitality courses for women since 1961.
A project of Nurisha Trust (an offshoot of Kianda Foundation), Kibondeni provides a bridge from vocational training to high-end industry careers, with graduates working in hotels, resorts, and hospitality establishments across Kenya and internationally.

It began in 1961 as an in-service catering training school. In 1969 Kibondeni School of Institutional Management was authorized to issue its own certificates at the end of the training, thus becoming an educational institution in its own right.

Kibondeni College provides affordable hospitality courses in Nairobi specifically designed to empower young women from informal settlements and low-income areas. We provide a bridge from vocational training to high-end industry careers.

Throughout the courses, emphasis is laid on character training, spirit of service and the importance of professional work for the development of the person and the country.
